Arnošt Muka's “Dictionary of the Lower Sorbian Language and Its Dialects” was published in two volumes in 1911 and 1928. It is a comprehensive collection of the Lower Sorbian vocabulary, which also includes proper names, phraseologisms, and proverbs, as well as a large number of detailed descriptions which could be characterized as encyclopedic. The dictionary also contains the first systematic consideration of the verbal aspect. Loanwords and foreign words are however significantly underrepresented. As a historical source and due to the time of its creation it contains some outdated information, which is not marked as such, such as deviations in spelling and grammatical information. Furthermore, this digital version is not a complete reproduction of the original source.
