Canonical Text Service Leipzig

Collection

Description

The Canonical Text Services (CTS) protocol defines interaction between a client and server providing identification of texts and retrieval of canonically cited passages of texts. The official specifications were created by David Neel Smith and Christopher Blackwell. The SAW Leipzig offers multiple data sets for this protocol. The utilized CTS server is based on the works of Dr. Jochen Tiepmar. For more information, please refer to "Implementation and Evaluation of the Canonical Text Service Protocol as Part of a Research Infrastructure in the Digital Humanities" (https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:bsz:15-qucosa2-212926).
