Null Result Portal

The Null Result Portal was developed within the CLARIN-D project. It aimed at making null results available to the scientific community. Null results represent knowledge of the scientific community which is usually not reported publicly and often lacks the possibility to query. Thus, a major function of the null result portal was to collect null results of researchers which would not be published elsewhere otherwise. Apart from contributing null result, the community was enabled to search and explore the collected null results and take advantage for their research.

Null results could be published as posts along with meta data and data (if available). Each null result should report:
- a description which outlines the main points of the research in brief
- a hypothesis which was the starting point for the research
- the result, i.e. which part of the hypothesis could be proven
- optionally the post may provide more detailed information on the background, result, hypothesis, previous work, etc.
- post may be complemented by files
- post may be complemented with tags for a better search
- post may be categorized
Publication of null results was possible as registered user of the portal.
